Brice WIP

Starting a new painting today of my son Brice.  Started to work this time from the background to the subject.  Usually do it the other way around because I am never sure what the background will be.  In this too, the background may totally change.  Just blocking in colors right now.

I Wish

You reach a point where you figure it is just finished.  I know some artists can never do that, but when you're done, you're done.  I have decided to call this painting "I Wish"

So this is coming along fairly well.  Had a light blue background which I did not like at all.  Needed something to make it a little more interesting, so maybe the white mist coming up represents her Prince starting to form.

Got some more work done on the Girl Kissing Frog painting.  Yes I know the hair is not quite right on the forehead.  But it is coming along nicely I think....

Did not have much time this morning since I slept late.  I painted in the frog using the acrylics with very much a watercolor technique...

Well this seems to be coming along nicely. Slowly getting some background in to give the face some shape.  Always difficult for me to just work with white canvas backgrounds.

This is a couple of hours of work on this new painting.  Presently it is a girl kissing a frog, but who knows, maybe it will turn into her first kiss.  Really happy with the way this is going right now.
