Painting for Church Craft Fair

I did this 36" x 12" acrylic on canvas for the Lafayette Presbyterian Craft Fair to be held
the 2nd weekend of November in the Church Sanctuary. Originally
titled Evening Star, but I may need to change that. Fun landscape to do.

Super Creepy Girl

This is sort of going all over the place. Yes her arms look pretty bad right now, but those will get fixed up.

Emmaline on the easel

Blocking in the colors. This will be creepy, weird when finished because the background will be painted out from the black. I am doing washes of acrylic to build up the colors on Emmaline, something new to me.

Ashleigh with Midnight

Finished up the Ashleigh and Midnight painting today during the festival at Railroad Square Art Park. Will post a cropped photo when I have the chance.

Ashleigh with Cat Almost Finished

I imagine just one more day of touch-ups and I will be finished with this one. Best I can tell by the photograph I am working from that this is one old cat.
Decided to get rid of that window in the background and keep with my style of black.

Ashley and Cat on the Easel

Every time I look at this, I think "Oh My &%$#", but then get to work and am usually happy by the time I finish up. Then I look the next time and think, "Oh My %$&#". Once I work in the details on the cat and add the hair, which will make a huge difference, I will be in a better place. The problem I have with this painting is it is just too sweet. What to do? Stay tuned to find out....

I really like this painting because it is just in your face. I did not mess with the shirt too much, left it very vague and little detail.
